Heart of Snarkness |
is: Rock and Roll, baseball, comics, hockey, video games, education, animal rights, SoCal, grammar, raising chickens, examples of my social ineptitude, and the pratfalls of interacting with females, all with a healthy dose of snark. At least that's the plan. UPDATE: I do not usually post personal whining, so I guess interesting stories about MY experiences with women are mostly out, but I do reblog funny stuff from anyone else. Political tidbits are fair game; anything for a laugh, really. If it makes me smile or makes me angry I'll put it up here. So, snark is promised and shall be delivered. I'm a health nut and a vegetarian for six years now, so veggie stuff may pop up here as well. Also, I like to write, in case you didn't notice. |
I’m trying not to post too much from Stewart and Colbert, but damn if this segment was so funny, even Colbert himself couldn’t keep a straight face through it! He excoriates Steve Doocy for his lie, and poor reporting by the New York Post and the Washington Post, all while making me laugh uncontrollably. Some gems from this:
“I believe in journalism; that’s called picking up a Dooce with your bare hands”
“So, excellent reporting, Steve Doocy, and I know good reporting. I’m am an independent newsman, I’m not some smug, self-satisfied brown-noser toting for the Republican establishment.”
Damn, this is blurry, but there’s a lot of stuff I like. No, Obama DOES treat women like an interest group, but he has to; he’s a politician. Plus, at least he and the Dems act like women are an interest group that they actually want to appeal to. I agree with at least the sentiment of the rest. I can’t afford health Insurance. I want billionaire presidents to stay out of my friends’ uteruses. I want Romney and the rest of the GOP to screw off. Maybe a liberal or libertarian could get more attention if the GOP stopped leaning so far right.
