Heart of Snarkness |
is: Rock and Roll, baseball, comics, hockey, video games, education, animal rights, SoCal, grammar, raising chickens, examples of my social ineptitude, and the pratfalls of interacting with females, all with a healthy dose of snark. At least that's the plan. UPDATE: I do not usually post personal whining, so I guess interesting stories about MY experiences with women are mostly out, but I do reblog funny stuff from anyone else. Political tidbits are fair game; anything for a laugh, really. If it makes me smile or makes me angry I'll put it up here. So, snark is promised and shall be delivered. I'm a health nut and a vegetarian for six years now, so veggie stuff may pop up here as well. Also, I like to write, in case you didn't notice. |
Whose record did he break? Walter Johnson had 3,508 strikeouts in 20 years with the Washington Senators 1907-1927. Nolan finished his 27-year career with 5,714 strikeouts. That record is very likely to stand for a very long time.
in Yankees vs. Texas; battle of the Japanese pitchers. Go Yu! Go Texas!
I wish you would be the third catcher for the Texas Rangers this year, but maybe there wasn’t even room for that. You’re one of my favorite Rangers, congrats on such an awesome career!
The Red Wings lose, but Texas leads Seattle 3-0 off a Mike Young RBI and back-to-back home runs by Ian Kinsler and Elvis Andrus. So not all is right in my sports world, but it could be worse I guess.
No, Feliz is just a damn good baseball player; a great pitcher who wants to pitch. That’s the beginning and the end of what he was talking about.

Every time a young prospect break into the big leagues as a late inning reliever, a cold sweat runs down my back. While the team may claim to only be easing the pitcher into the big leagues, if successful it makes it massively more difficult to sell…
Instead of Wilson vs. Darvish, we are getting prospects going at it. Hamburger vs. Bell. Damn.
